Default code 42

i have a check engine light on and it is a code 42 i was told that it is the distributer pick up.it stalls when you stop and i was told that is a symptom of a bad pick up.going down the road its fine but as soon as you come to a stop it will die .my question is how difficult is this to replace ? and do i have to pull the distributer to replace it?

Its most likely the module. This is the way to diagnose it.

I have a Tested ac delco module for sale if your interested. You can get yours tested at your local auto parts too.
