Default Cold Blooded 4.3liter

what could cause my 1989 GMC jimmy to have a hard time getting started in the morning(cold). It just turns over for a few and then with a little help with some gas pedal it finally starts. Once it starts it takes just a few seconds to clean out a little misfire. could that be something like an electric choke problem on the throttle body injection setup. or any other ideas would help.

Thanks

I would start by cleaning the throttle body and installing a new base gasket. This could potentially be caused by a dirty IAC (idle air control) valve on the side of the throttle body.
