Hi people, I trying to search which mercedes diesel engine I can use for my S-10 Blazer 4x4 1991. I try to search forum and google but I see only US engine is used for this. I am in europe and I hava available all kinds of diesel engines. How much ccm? Which year to take, can my 4x4 work after swap? Right now is 4.3 Z engine and with 2 usd per litar of casoline I cannot drive my car anymore. So I need to swap engine or to sell
I would like some old mercedes engine, maybe 2.4 or 2.8 ccm. But which can fit good? Can anyone help please?

 

I have never seen one done, Ive seen several threads online about the 4 and 5 cyl. Merc diesels swap into S10 Chassis. Do a bit of research on line, Im sure you will find what you need. Apperantly the OM617 is suppose to be a great engine, not a power house but last forever and easy to work on. Good luck to you.

 

noo, I reasrch and IF I take this one, no 4x4 and I need to make adapret for gearbox, since mercedes dont fit with this GMC..so I go with propane on my lover..
