Digital Dash Swap

Digital Dash Swap
Did a bit of searching, without any real clear answers so I thought I would ask. I have seen others asking about switching out their digital dash for a standard cluster. I was thinking of doing the opposite. We had a '91 s10 with the digital dash and I thought it was pretty cool. I am wondering, is it a direct swap to plug in a digital dash? Or would it not be worth the trouble. This would be for a '94 GMC Jimmy by the way.

Definitely not a direct swap. Wiring needs to be modified. THIS POST (s10planet) should help.
This is not the typical swap due to the inherent problems that the digital dash suffers from.
If you do this and you have some extra time on your hands, could you submit a how-to to the Tech Article section?

Hm thats a pretty interesting swap. I'm considering it. My only concern is having the correct mileage on the odometer. The wiring seems pretty straight forward. I'm not sure what i'm going to do yet, but if I do it, I will definetly do a writeup with pictures along the way. I told myself I wouldn't be modifying this truck, but I always thought the digital dash was cool.
