Don't Know what to do with this problem
My windsheild wipers are always on.. Even when the switch is off.... I twist the key and when it goes to Accessory they turn on and stay on the whole time the truck is running.. so as a temporary fix i took the fuse out.. and also they just stay at the same speed..even when i turn it to faster and slower.. Any help would be Appreciated...thanks

I would unplug the connector at the bottom of the steering Column for the multi-function switch. If the problem goes away then you have a faulty Multi-function switch.

where abouts is that plug?? i looked.. i couldn't find it..

On the column there is a bulge where the multifunction lever is. On the back side of the bulge (facing the gauges) youll notice that there is a small panel there, which is part of that bulge. It should pull right off the column and then your connectors should be right there. Pull it off by squeezing a bit and pulling it towards your dash

IIRC there is a lower cover of the column that you might have to remove. It is a small connector just under the dash before wire harness goes through the column. If you have the owners manual see if there is a relay for the wiper motor. I do not remember if there is a relay or not.

I was incorrect, I got home and pulled out my factor service manual, for delay system 1. Inoperative Circuit Board (Replace). 2. Inoperative Park Switch (Replace). for the base wiper system the following applies: With Ignition Switch On, Wiper Switch in Off position, remove connector from wiper terminal, connect jumper from terminal No. 2 and No. 3 and 12 volt source to terminal 4. if wiper parks replace column switch, If Wiper still runs repair wiper motor (Check Park Switch Actuator and Brush Holder Assy)

ummm....sorry..where do i find the terminal??
#8
The terminal is the connection under the hood right to the wiper motor. The circuit board is inside the cover of the wiper motor. Same with the park switch

ok.. ill give it a try tomorrow.. thanks

Just a heads up, the circuit boards are known for failing due to cracks developing in the soldered connections causing all kinds of havoc. A new circuit board only runs about $20 and is very easy to replace.
