Electrical Problem
Ok I have a 92 blazer s-10 with a vortec 4.3. It is 4X4 with a vin w engine. Mechanicly wise i have brought this old beast up to speed almost. I am mechanicaly inclined but not electricaly if you know what i mean.
My problem started about 2-3 months ago when i would go to hit the blinkers. When i would hit them the wipers would come on for a second. Just recently the problem has gotten alot worse and fast. Now i have no gauges, no brake lights, no speedometer, and no blinkers at times. I have checked all fuses and there good. Speedometer sensor has to be working because my transmission is shifting. Please help any advice would be appreciated. |
It sounds like you have some wires crossed up in the dash. I would start poking around under there.
Being that it is a '92, the VSS has nothing to do with your transmission. Your truck has a 4L60 (700R4) which is not computer controlled. If this were a newer s-series (95+), I would say you have a problem with both your ignition switch and your multifunction switch, but I do not believe that the 1st gens suffer from the same ailments as the newer ones do. |
