Electrical Problem
Ok I have a 92 blazer s-10 with a vortec 4.3. It is 4X4 with a vin w engine. Mechanicly wise i have brought this old beast up to speed almost. I am mechanicaly inclined but not electricaly if you know what i mean.
My problem started about 2-3 months ago when i would go to hit the blinkers. When i would hit them the wipers would come on for a second. Just recently the problem has gotten alot worse and fast. Now i have no gauges, no brake lights, no speedometer, and no blinkers at times.
I have checked all fuses and there good. Speedometer sensor has to be working because my transmission is shifting. Please help any advice would be appreciated.

It sounds like you have some wires crossed up in the dash. I would start poking around under there.
Being that it is a '92, the VSS has nothing to do with your transmission. Your truck has a 4L60 (700R4) which is not computer controlled.
If this were a newer s-series (95+), I would say you have a problem with both your ignition switch and your multifunction switch, but I do not believe that the 1st gens suffer from the same ailments as the newer ones do.
