hey have a 86 s10 blazer 2.8l 4x4. had some probs. got most of them fixed but still not right it runs good except when i take off from a light it goes good till i get up to the high rpm range aand it falls on its face like u turn the key off if i shift it runs good till i get up to high rpms again thought it was pickup coil took it in had in checked they said it was good change the spark controller still does it any segation ?

 

generally the ignition system works or it doesnt! sounds like a lack of fuel to me !
have you changed the fuel filter ? possibly a carburetor problem ? partially plugged main jet ?

 

yea might if it had a carb its tbi im fairly good but still learning injection systems. had the prob before i put in a new cap rotor wires plugs still have the prob. thanks for the info.

 

Change the fuel filter. Sounds like its starving for gas. If thats not it then purchase a tbi rebuild kit. if thats not it then check fuel pressure. if its bad replace the pump ONLY with a ac delco or delphi. stay away from airtexs.

All said and done. you have a brand new fuel system.

 

thanks will try fuel filter just rebuilt tbi about 6 mouths ago. just had a feul pump prob. was running all the time hope its not that beging to sound like it hope not there a pain

 

hey guys thanks agian. finnally got it running again turned out it was a fuel injector had a couple spares replaced them runs like a raped ape again
