Question Fuel pressure only 4-5 psi??

Another problem with this truck and I hope someone can help! Its a 1986 blazer s10 2.8l tbi ! Well the idle has been real bad and when u can get it running it surges, barely moving! So I put a pressure test on it and just get 4-5 psi, Im suppose to get 10-15 i believe! But before I drop the tank"ouch" I was wondering is there anything else that could cause this low pressure? oh I also changed the fuel filter, blew out return lines and it didnt help. Can the regulator cause low pressure? anyway thanks you guys have been good help in the past.

OK it looks like it is something else causing the pressure to read low, because i puled tank and put gauge on at pump and it reads 10-11 psi! so we hooked up the receiving line up and checked the pressure and got 10-11 psi again! Took apart regulator and checked the diaphragm and it all checked good! The only thing i seen was that when I took off the injectors housing the front bolt hole was broke, which would cause a bad seal on the TB! Could this cause the pressure read low like it did before? Thanks

Thumbs up

Well even though no one had advice for me I wanted to give final results in case someone runs into this problem in the future, because I hate unresolved threads! LOL!! Anyway hooked everything back up after blowing the lines fuel line out and it started right up with good pressure again! Im guessing that it was something in the lines because the bolt hole on the TB didnt have nothing to do with leaks, it just held it in place. Now Im getting time set and it should run even better! We drove it for 30 miles and everything ran good except I could tell it is a little out of time! Thanks I hope this thread helps someone out in the future!
