fuel pressure regulator
So I reconnected the fuel line and testing pressure at the plenum koeo i am reading 49 psi and 40 psi after 10 minutes. I have not removed the plenum to watch form leaks. I know this pressure is not spec. Should i remove the plenum and perform the same test koeo?
Regulated pressure is too low, which means the fuel pressure regulator is set too low, or defective. You can remove the plenum, activate the pump, and check for leaks. As I mentioned earlier, regulator adjustment is not recommeded. If there are no leaks, replace the regulator.
Against what you advised I adjusted the regulator and got the pressure up to 60 psi koeo. No leaks, no puddling of fuel and pressure dropped to 54 psi after ten minutes. I will put the plenum back on tomorrow and see what happens. If the regulator fails you warned me.
I gotten pretty quick at pulling the plenum apart.
