Tank in teh back or under the drivers side rear passengers seat?
In the back. There are 2 brackets on top and two on bottom of the tank. There are 3-4 hoses and at least one electrical connection. Remove two of the bolts, tip the tank and remove the hoses and electrcial connections. Remove the other two bolts and down she comes.
Tank under the rear passengers seat. Two brackets, one held in with a bolt, the other with a nut. Unbolt, tip tank, disconnect hoses and elertical wires, Lift tank up to lift the brackets out of the drivers side frame rail. Carefull, there is a hose at the very front of the tank most dont see. You may also need special gas line tools. Set is less then $10.
Gas weighs roughly 8 pounds per gallon. 20 gallons is 160 pounds. 5 gallons is 40 pounds. Use a jack unless your big enough to mucle it. Gas doesnt react to well with sparks or flame. Has this nasty tendancy to explode. Its not the gas that is dangerous, its the fumes.

Tank shield has to be removed on the OBS. I am not sure on the NBS.
Sending unit- there is a ring that turns to remove the sending unit. Use a screwdriver and hammer. Clean all the carp off first. You don't want any of that crap in the tank.
Nope- you disconnect the filler tube at the tank. You can if you want, but not necessary.
