Default gas tank leaking

I'm a new member. I'm Adam nice to meet you all.

OK. I filled up to full on the blazer today and it seems to be leaking gas. Is this a common problem? What can I do to plug it or seal it without replacing the tank?

I would not call it a common problem, but (judging from your member name), you do own a 15 year old vehicle.

There are several things that you can do to repair it if it is a leak in the tank and not the sending unit. Most autoparts stores have an epoxy or fiber glass patch that can be used. Success is in the prep work.

Then you always could grab another tank from a junkyard.

I just replaced the tank in my 96 Jimmy this past weekend. Honestly, for all the work involved just buy a new tank. I paid $138 for a new Spectra tank at a local salvage yard.(that also sells new parts.) My tank was in pretty bad shape. I'm sure if I had just patched it, it would have popped a leak somewhere else a few months from now. Some guys have had luck with patches. I just know from experience, I'm not a lucky guy.
