My gear shifter no longer tells me what gear I am in

Thanks for the welcome. I have a 93 S10 blazer. Had it detailed and now I gear indicator is stuck in park

ok. its a 93 s10 blazer, 4wd. 350 . procam 9"lift . 33"s. lots of miles

You most likely broke the little ear off where the cable goes to pull on the indicator in the dash. Aside from modding it yourself, there is no other cheap fix. Pull the surround off of the dash to get a better look and I bet you will find that cable just taking its own path instead of being tucked up in to the corner of where the indicator is.
