hey guys*and gals if the case may be) i have an 88 s10 2dr blazer 2.8 V6 with the stick shift 4x4 and auto transmission. i can shift into 4hi with no problems but if i try to get it into 4lo it grinds. ive always tried 4lo while stoped, in and out of park or neutral and ive tried it with my foot on the break and in reverse. ive also tried it with the blazer shut off. yet it always grinds as soon as its about to go into 4lo(of if the motor is off, as soon as you turn it on) i dont have an owners booklet for it and was wondering what else i can try. also if its shot can i use a transfer case from a 93 4.6 V6?
