1986, 2.6L heater isnt't working. Changed thermostat and fuse. No heat. Any suggestions?

 

well when my heat stopped working i poped the hood took the relay apart and put a wire in it over to the positive battery cable. whenever i need heat i pop the hood and wrap the wire around the positive battery cable. heat or no heat? i choseheat but atleast the mixer still works because the hi and low switch don't work

 

this probobly won't help you but then again maybe it will im just trying to do my part
