Question heater core replacement

so i have a 1988 s10 blazer and the heater core decided it was time to give up. my question is, do i have to tear the whole dash out or just the lower section and the glove box to access it? ive never done one before. and dammit its snow season so i need that thing so i can go in the mts and play.....

The easiest way is to grab a Sawzall and just cut the dash apart. You'll get it out in no time.

If you want to keep it looking nice inside then you'll just want to remove the lower part of the dash.

With a screwdriver.
