Default help

I have a 1991 S-10 that is not oil cooled, however the oil filter is top mounted and has 2 oil lines running from just outside the filter to the lower part of motor. Both lines are leaking at the fitting which is crimped so the entire thing needs replacement. My Haynes manual mentions nothing on how to do this though it seems easy enough. My question is,,,,what is this part called ? I cannot find any reference to it online anywhere nor did my local autopart store know. help

Those would still be called oil cooler lines. You might need to go back to the dealer for those, but they are not that badly priced through the dealer. They are pretty easy to replace, but I have access to a hoist which makes it allot easier. Korey.

Thanks,,,,I'll do that. The upper 1/2 seems extremely easy (1 bolt) I haven't checked the lower yet. I hope they aren't that $$$$ from the dealer. I guess you really can't try and crimp them huh ?

appreciate the help.

The lower lines I believe are the same way as the upper, just one bolt. The lines shoud be under $100.00. I have never heard or seen someone recrimping these line and have them stop leaking. Korey.
