Help with 94
Does anyone have a thoughts on why my 1994 would run rough after warm-up? EGR is fine. It acts as tho its detting to much fuel. TBI, its been a long time since i have turned wrenches and am lost on the next step. I dont want to just start replacing sensors. I got the blazer from a freind and it had sat there for a few years after he got it out of a shop that tuned it up. all he did was the occasional start up to keep fluilds going through the engine. any help would be appreciated.

not sure if its relevant or not but also the temp guage is not working either

The temp gauge not working will tell the computer your engine is cold , like putting the choke on . check the temperature sender on the passenger side of the engine . I think its a purple wire not sure though . Mine the wire melted against the exhaust the first time and the second time it was the temp sender .

ok, one on the side then whats the on next to the thermostat housing with 2 wires?

After doing some reading I guess one works the gauge and the other goes to the ecm , I just read another post on here where drummerdude had the same problem he changed the one thats next to the thermostat housing and the truck ran better he said , but the gauge still didn't work . But anyway the anwer to your question is that one sends temp to ecm .

you have a vortec right ? the 94s had vortecs in them
Im confused cause you said it had a tbi also give me the 8th digit of your vin it will tell me what motor you have Edit: If you have a vortec and the 8th digit of your vins W this sensor location map is right if you dont have this motor ill get you the right sensor map http://i1130.photobucket.com/albums/...2/PICT1461.jpg And here is the diagnosis for the temp gauge http://i1130.photobucket.com/albums/...2/PICT1463.jpg |
