Default Help, from Michigan

Hello, I bought a 1983 s10 blazer with the 2.0 for cheap.
my problem is it drove fine for about six months and then I moved back to Michigan and was on my way home from work and I lost power( like going up a very steep hill with a trailer) and oil pressure. So I limped it to a gas station and checked everything I could ( being it was midnight) added a quart of oil and limped it the rest of the way home. Was wondering if it could be something simple like the EGR valve or something more sinister. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
