I can't figure this out

Thanks for the update.
If you find out what's wrong please post back.
I have been thinking about running seafoam through mine and now a little worried![Smile](https://blazerforum.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I have a similar problem listed here but not bad. Just a SLIGHT stumble/surge/miss when going a steady speed... doesn't do it on accelration and just BARELY does it on idle.

I've had a little issue like this before, so while it's most likely due to the Sea Foam this time, I still believe it's something else. Ive had HUGE problems when I've washed the motor, so I think I have a vacuum leak or something and the water (or now SeaFoam) sits in a puddle somewhere and gives me issues till it finally evaporates.

Well, I'm joining you guys. My 2000 will start fine, idle great and most of the time take off great. Just the odd time you will step on the gas and....nothing. Engines revs up slow but there's no power, you don't move. Let off on the gas a bit and the power slowly comes back. I'm thinking a flaky egr valve. If it was a gas problem like the filter or pump it would happen all the time and not just at take off. I am a little down on power driving up hills on the highway. Going to clean the egr first, then ignition cap and rotor, fuel filter...

Let us know which one has helped.
I have cleaned my EGR, full tune up with wires, fuel pump pressure is good, new filter.
It doesn't seem to have excessive carbon in the throttle body or 'gunk' that indicates a fuel leak. Loaded the TB with a good amount of Seafoam deep creep and let it sit a few minutes. It's probably in my mind but it seemed to lessen the surge even more, but no smoke or anything came out of the exhaust which usually happens if it's burning off carbon and junk, so I took that to mean it was fairly clean (miles are relatively low for this year car).
But I still can't get rid of this minor surge. I've determined it's more of a surge up and down than a miss, but a really fast one.
I also don't seem to have a lot of power once it gets up to speed. I have OK take off but I think it should have more as the 4.3 has been described here as a high performance engine. But when I get on the highway I have to practically floor it to get faster than 70mph. It's not bogging down and up to that point it's fine. It's almost like it's been governed.

It's a loss of manifold vacuum....lets start eliminating why!

Loss of manifold vacuum would cause that bog were talking about. That would be the EGR. I took it apart and cleaned it. It was a little better. What really made a difference was cleaning the MAF sensor....AGAIN. Pull it out and clean it with the right cleaner. World of difference.

I had similar symptoms which I finally traced to a leak in the nut kit. I found that the nut kit and pressure regulator and gasket could be ordered from Amazon.com. No more sluggishness.
