Exclamation I smell gas and I don't know why ???

Okay so I have yet another new problem with the truck after I get done driving and I get out of the car I smell fuel, very strong smell not faint I know that the fuel line was cut and rigged by the previous owner and I am running a fuel filter that isn't meant to be used on my particular vehicle (it is cut and rigged right in front of the fuel filter) maybe about 5 inches in front of it anyways I also have some delay when starting my vehicle after it has sat for an hour or so it does start just takes it about 4-5 secs as opposed to when I get out for maybe 5 mins then come back and start it again it starts right up so I am not sure if that is related to the smell of fuel and the delay of starting after it has sat for a while. I am just curious how much do fuel lines cost and are they difficult to do or is it best to have a professional do it?

Are you talking about your '89?

In that case, it's TBI (you don't have a carb or CPI).

you might be able to pull of 30's but there will be serious rubbing, might as well do a 3' body lift to get those suckers under there.

30's will work as i had some on my 91. you might have to crank the bars up a inch or so as mine was already up a inch before i put em on.

Instead of worrying about what tires you can fit on there... get that fuel problem fixed. necessities over accessories.

You dont have a carb on a 1989 and you dont have CPI either. CPI came out in late 92, you have TBI. Have you pulled the dip stick to see if their is gas in the bottom end?
