Default Install abs?

I have an 88 s10 blazer, 4.3, 4x4. The motor only has like 50 miles on it (rebuilt).

anyways, am looking to get abs in it. does anyone know if it works good?

is it worthwhile? and what all would i need other than the abs computer?

you would need wheel speed sensors and alot of other things,

Thumbs down

That would take alot of work. Wheel speed sensors for one, the ABS module, wiring in the ABS module and fusing a circuit thats not used in your truck, new brake lines since they dont go from master cyl to wheels anymore, and probably more things that I cant think up right now. And then you are going to have ABS related problems in the future that you wont get now. Its probably easier to trade in on a newer blazer with ABS on it already.

Ive never heard of anyone adding ABS to anything other than hotrods that get built from the ground up...

Why would you want to add it on? I wish my vehicles didnt have ABS alot of the time. The only time its not annoying to me is emergency stops in wintertime, but now where I live we dont get snow so that doesnt happen anymore.

There is A LOT of work involved here as mentioned by ohsoftly. It isn't remotely worth it to go through all of the hassle to get ABS on a vehicle that was never equiped with ABS.
