Default Mud Flaps for First gens, do they exist?

So, i'm on the market for a mud flaps/splash guards whatever you call them, but I can't seem to find any. When i do get something to turn up on google or anything, they're usually listed as fitting the colorado or cheyenne or something. Not the blazer version. Or they'll only fit the full size 2-door version. Whereas i have the 4-door. This is getting very frustrating because I believe most of my rust problems can be solved or at least remedied by getting guards to stop water and debris from getting into places where it can't get out (front fender rear fender/bumper) Does anyone know where to get flaps that will fit my truck?
The only places I've found so far are:
EBAY - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Power...mZ270345285802

Off-Road Store - http://partssearch.off-road.com/prod...php?pid=223574

Those places have them listed as fitting but i'm skeptical because those are the ONLY places that show them as fitting. And the links are only that long because I can't find the hotlink button...

For the older vehicles, I think there really was no such thing as fitted mud flaps. I believe they all were flat and just cut to suit. The closest you got was some of the dealer modifications that were offered that had molded in side steps.

On my '86 the running boards act as perfect mud deflectors for the front, they wrap up the inside of the fender well about 8-10" and for the back I found a cheap pair at Canadian Tire that fit perfect, the way the rear quarter fender wraps under, it's easy to hose it out. The only place I need to be picky is underneath the chrome fender strips. I took them all off a while back and got some thin dense rubber and made gaskets for each of them to stop the gunk from wedging between them and the paint...seems to work great, not a spot of rust so far.
