Need help on 91 s10 4x4
ok so to start my tranny shifts super hard into 2 and 3 i had the pump in my tranny replased and thats when it started to do that and my engine revs really hi i dont know how to tune the tbi some one said it could be an air leak after the tbi and my 4wd is a pmsing female it engages when it wants to and when it does then front hubs stay locked in for a long time EXAMPLE it was snowing and i had to put it in 4L it worked thank god but when i didnt need it and put it in 2wd there was no power to the front yet they were still locked in but i could drift around corners if i wanted to do i need to rebuild the auto front hubs?

I would start by investigating the vacuum to the front axle. You may find the leak thats bringing your RPMs up there too. Do a forum search for 4WD vacuum and you should find a plethora of info there. Check the actuator with your hand, if its stiff or takes forever to return to 2WD you may have a bent linkage or something.
Have you checked the condition of the trans fluid, is it burned? Is it low or high?
I wouldnt use 4LO in snow though, its low gear for pulling and mud... 4HI should handle anything that falls from the sky just fine.
