Default neeeddddd heeellllpppp

how is it goin, i have a 1989 s-10 blazer and it is a good ride has done nothing bad to me until now. some things were looking bad so i thought i should fix it. i put in new
distribuator cap
rotor
wires and
spark plugs
now since i did that the truck idles fine but really rough it shakes the truck and makes it sound like i have a mean sounding exaust. but the problem is i get no gas milage and i can always smell gas and i accedtaly broke off the ball that is bolted to the front left wheel well. also when i push on the gas in neatrul there is a clinging sound at the bottom of the engine. i dont know what to do. i cut the engine on an take off the oil cap and there is no back pressure so i kinda know i didnt blow anything(piston...etc) and it all started after i put the new parts on and i know the parts are the right parts.
pleeeeaaaaassseeeeeee hhelllllllllllp

she is my baby and i need her.

what do i neeed to do

Check your firing order, make sure you have the plug wires on the correct plugs.
The ball you broke off, is that a vacuum ball and do you have a vacuum leak from it now?

Did you plug off the manifold end??? there is a T fitting were that hose goes to behind the upper manifold by the fire wall. Also possible that the hose has a hole in it further back... or when you pulled it off, you got enough pressure to pull it off the t-case switch - there is a vacuum switch on thedrivers side that has 3 vacuum lines to it, when you broke that ball you might have pulled on it enough to loosen the hoses enough to cause a leak...

Then you did not plug off your vacuum source and still have a leak... And with that line disconnected you won't have 4 wheel drive available...that ball is a vacuum acumulator to increase vacuum pressure to the 4x4 acuator mechanism under your battery tray to engage the front axles...so you should replace that section of hose with new and maybe the rest also....

Blains Farm & Fleet sells the hose in bulk. Its a farm supply store that also sells some autoparts.
