no power to fuel pump
I have a 1993 Blzr , I ve got 12v to fuel pump relay. I disconnected the plug and I jumped it and fuel pump is working. Is it safe to say it's the relay or could it be somthing else besides the relay before I go out and buy a new one only to find it still wont start. Is there any othe tests/checks I should do to confirm that it is in fact the relay?
Thank you, Mark.

Do a search. I can't remember where I saw it on here but, if I remember right, big if, you can swap the fuel pump relay with one of the other ones, Horn?. that way you can see if its just the relay.
Pretty sure Swartlkk or Riddle3 posted that.

I had the same problem with my old blazer and I had to shave the grounding point then it ran fine...

I believe fuel relay and horn relay are to the right of brake booster on firewall. they are on my truck anyway.

With any relay, you will have two +12V signals. One should be ignition powered (power through to the device being switched on/off by the relay) and then the trigger which tells the relay when to close.
Which pins have you verified +12V on? They should be numbered as explained on the12volt.com, but also could be numbered 1-5.

according to my shop manual the horn relay is in the fuse block thats for my 96 blazer. The manual does not have anything about the fuel system in it as it is in an entirerly different manual. Hey Swartllk do you know anything about the oil pressure switch having somthing to do with the fuel pump and fuel pump relay maybe some kind of safety device that shuts off the fuel pump in case of an accident/fire where the oil pressure drops below a certain pressure like if the car was in an accident and stalled and there was a fire the switch shuts off the fuel pump not to feed a possible fire??? Still working on my problem!!!
