My Blazer wont start suddenly, it happened after I pulled the alternator to put a new one in and after I pulled ALL the fuses as well, so I'm guessing fuse problem?

It cranks, just doesn't fire up. There was no fuel problems or anything prior to pulling that stuff, and I have my battery on the charger right now because I had a "Check Guages" light and "Charging System" light on upon ignition. It started and ran fine prior to pulling fuses. The new alternator is connected properly as well.

Any ideas of what I messed up hah?

THANKS!

Okay battery is 100% charged still cranks but no start.

Charging System and Check Guages lights are on, I have my new alternator setup like so:

On main lug:
Red wire going to battery
2 Mystery wires (red) going inside.

then of course the voltage regulator connector.

I was reading, shouldnt there be a ground wire to my alternator? There wasnt one attached to the old one though...ahhh I suck at this! All my fuses are okay, none blown. Im assuming there is spark and fuel pressure because there was before I got this new alternator and pulled fuses...

My starter is working obviously if its cranking right? I just hope whatever the problem is it's cheap I just need this thing so I can get a job!

You've double checked the condition of the terminals on the battery for corrosion and tight connection, right? Is the alternator hooked up like this with both the batteryfeed and voltage regulator connected on the same pole?

Terminals are perfect, and yes it is hooked up as pictured. I bought a 6 guage wire to ground the alternator to the block 20 minutes ago, think that is what the problem is?

Remember it cranks endlessly, just wont start.

So it has to be one of the following:
Charging System (first guess since the idiot light is on)
Ignition (worked flawlessly before the new alternator)
Fuel (worked flawlessly before the new alternator)

Is the fuel pump humming for two seconds at key on? Beyond that if it does hum-do you have 54-60 psi pressure at this point as pumps have been known the hum but not provide the proper pressure. This exercise will put to rest the pump question then go from here. jp[&:]

are you sure you didn't knock a wire off of something while you were changing the alt.? Why did you pull all the fuses? If all was fine before the alt. change the fuses are the obvious problem..maybe when installing them a tab of 1 fuse missed the slot or maybe in the wrong slot?
First thing to do is check for spark, pull an easy to get at plugout and re-connect it to the wire then lay it down on the exhaust manifold with the electrode not touching anything and crank the engine, should be a nice crisp blue spark. If spark is fine the next thing would be fuel pressure as mentioned before. Good luck.

Got it started today, problem was the ECM fuse was blown, I missed it when I checked the important fuses because I'm an idiot.

Runs solid, still have to track down a cheap brake booster (leaks vacuum and my engine loses a lot of juice everytime I brake, checked the valve and vacuum line and they're good.). But a minor problem that I'm concerned about, the power steering whines when I turn at all, doesnt grind, just whines really loud. Should the fluid be changed??? Also I was wondering if my tensioner is right (tensioner looks wrong to me):

but the serp belt is running on the wrong side of the idler-make this change(assuming that this vehicle has the right serp belt on it and someone didn't re-route it using the wrong belt for some unknown reason). After you make the change-I'd re-evaluate the power steering issue. JP[>:]PS in your pic the caution arrow is pointing to your problem!
