Default Posi for the blazer or s10

I'm looking for a posi for the s10 pickup I may be getting. Would this fit?

GM Gov-Lok Differential from a '99 Blazer - eBay

GM Zexel Torsen Differential from a Camaro - eBay

What size of a rear end is it? Anyone know? I have no idea if its even a 7 1/2 or a 7 5/8. Any information about my rear end and posi for my rear end would be a GREAT help. Thanks in advance.

They both look like they'll work so long as your '88 has 28 spline axles.

Your axle housing will fit either a 7.5" ring gear or a 7.625" ring gear.

From what I can tell you're going to have to pull it apart to see... You may be able to find the axle identification tag and from there we can decode it to find out what you have, but other than that, you'd need to pull the axles and count. It looks like the S-series trucks were in the midst of a change over from the 26 spline axles to the 28 spline axles from 88-89...

dont buy that if you plan on having any kind of horsepower. those posi's like to break. it doesnt work like your typical posi that uses clutches and springs. it locks using the teeth of the gear and that locking mechanism you see in the pic. if your laying down some hp and torque it will snap and leave you sittin. just my 2 cents but ive been there in my camaro. find one more like this

Auburn LSD from a '97 TransAm - eBay

Yeah, either the torsen or auburn LSD would be better than the gov-loc diff. The gov-loc is know for being weak.
