Power windows
Hello all, I have a 1992 2dr 2wd s10 blazer as seen in my avatar. My problem is that I can roll my driver side window about 1 1/2 inch down, will not go any further. but will roll back up just fine. It don't make any clicking noise or anything. And for my passenger side window, I can roll it all the way down but sometimes you will have to wait some odd secs before rolling it back up cause it acts like it will get stuck. Any advice

you get bored one day, tear those door panels apart. it probably jumped the (dont know the name for them) seals in the rails. the felt or whatever you call it. also wouldnt hurt to lube up all them rails and rollers in there too.

If your window is kinda sloppy you might also check the clips (plastic guides) that ride in the window track. There's one in the front on the bottom and one in the back at the top. Cost a couple of bucks at the auto parts store. They shouldn't be a sloppy fit. If you have the panel off check the roller in the track that the window sets on. If it's getting worn you can replace it without taking the motor/regulator out but you beed a different type og setup. It's actually a Dorman HELP Part #74430. It's like $6.50 or so. You have to lower your window until you can drill oit the old roller rivet. The new one is a threaded stud with a roller on one end and a nut on the other. Piece of cake. Don't buy it from the dealer they want like $30.00 for it kast time I asked. (Asked - didn't buy) Sounds like you passenger window motor is getting ready to give up the ghost though. Shop around for this item. They range from low $20's to as much as $80.00 for the same part.
