Sounds like either a bad sending unit or oil pump. When the engine is idling, does the gauge just stay at zero, or does it show increasing pressure? When the truck is cruising, what does the gauge show? If it's a bad pump, this is not something to ignore.

You haven't said what year your Blazer is, but I'm assuming it's a 1st gen from the catagory of the post. From the info, I would suspect a bad sending unit. Have a manual pressure check done on the oil pressure and see what that says. The pressures you posted look to be well within specs. You're not experiencing any unusual engine sounds are you, like a tapping from the valve train, or deep knocking sound?

It does sound like a bad sending unit, just to make sure I would test the oil pressure with a pressure gauge at were the sending unit is located!!

Before we go further, tell us what type of Blazer we're dealing with. Putting your vehicle info into your signature will make it available anytime help is needed.

The unit should be on the top of the engine at the rear, butif it's like the 2nd gen's, the distributor blocks it, necessitating its removal first. If this is the case, get a Hayne's or Chilton's manual to see how to r&r the distributor.
