I know this is a longshot, but have you checked the ECU? It is behind the glovebox, and can be removed from under the dash. Try swapping it out with one from a junkyard... Just an idea

Could this help both my pulses and fuel problem or just the pulses?

I talked to a guy about my leak and he said he thinks its not the rear main seal and it may be some filter or something. It was more of my mom talked to him cause he was the one that looked at the ford and said he would look at my blazer. He thinks it is something that can be easily fixed and when it leaks there it looks like it would be coming from the rear main seal.

I really want to get it fixed because adding a quart of oil every 3-4 days sucks.

Well, look at it this way, you don't have to change your oil, it's self servicing! LOL.

drkmelvin - True...I hope to have it look at soon. Will try the ECU hopefully soon.

swartlkk - Thats what I have been thinking. In the end I am losing alot of money and it needs to be fixed and I get annoyed having to check my oil. My oil pressure gauge all of a sudden stopped working right. I usually could tell by the gauge when to add oil but now I gotta actually look at the stick . I mean I did before when I added but now i check it every 3 days or so .

She has been beat to hell so I can really b*tch about it being a peice of crap.

Is that a 2.8 in your blazer? Does it have the remote oil filter? I know that they tend to develop bad leaks over time. I would get some brakeclean, and clean the bottom of the engine, let it run for a while, and see where the leak is coming from. Be sure not to drive it though, the wind from movement may blow the oil around, and you won't be able to pinpoint the leak

yeah, definitely clean up the underside of the engine. You'll need to rev the engine up to around the rpm that you typically see (probably around 2000rpm) while driving. The engine should be run until it is completely up to tempurature and then some.

All of this is to try to simulate what is happening while its running down the road.

Good Luck!

I have the 4.3

I can't really tell what the rpms are since I dont have an RPM gauge .

I am thinkin thats what the guy was saying to my mom but like I said my mom never understands vehicle stuff so gets it all weirded out and what not.

The leak is coming from up by the tranny. Thats all I know at the moment.

Just gonna have the guy look at it and everything else.

I just never have the time to do it myself. Not the smartest with vehicles as it is. Guy is really cheap and is straight up honest with you. He is like a guy that works at his home but just has a big ol garage.

My mom did say the guy can just look up in there and see within minutes if thats the problem.

I just hope its not a rear main seal but he said he doubts it is.

So long as you aren't going to get taken advantage of by your mechanic. There are some things that I just don't have time for anymore and have to take it to a mechanic to get fixed. It kills me everytime I get an estimate though, but I know what my time is worth and it would be better spent playing with my son than doing certain repairs, but I weigh my options each and every time.

He is an awsome guy.

He did a free estimate on that ford and found like 10 or so problems. I heard nothin but good from this guy. He really likes older vehicles and likes mine because of the look lol.

Having another problem also now. Today one to voc and twice on the way home for lunch I would turn and then give it gas and it would go all the way to the floor and it didn't do anything. Not rev up,go faster or anything. Had to pump the gas a few times before it was fine.

My blazer is one POS because once one thing is fixed a few more come along and it bugs me. I mean its what 16 years old and its not a vehicle that was keeped all nice and never been off road. Thats what happen when you get your first vehicle I guess.
