Default question about front end of an S10 Blazer

I recently got a nice 1994 2dr S10 Blazer with 113,000 miles on it for next to nothing. Only problem is it has a bad clunking noise coming from the front right. Sounds to me like its a ball joint or something but im not really sure. I havent got it up on the lift yet. My question is, i've done a search on this and seem to see a common problem with the ball joints and stuff going bad alot. I know synergy has a HD suspension kit that replaces most of the components for stronger ones. If i want to get 50,000-100,000 miles out of this truck is it really worth it to buy the kit or just replace whatsbad? is it really that common of an occurance?

Depends what kind of shape the truck is in, is it in good enough shape that it could feasibly remain road worthy for a few years? if so i'd get the full kit from synergy and not worry about the front end again (as long as you stay on your maintenance and keep things greased and dont abuse it too hard off road), if you plan to just drive it long enough to buy you time to off it for something else just fix whats bad.
I love my 94 4 door and been going through hell removing the cancer and getting her ready for a new paint job i'd buy the whole kit from synergy for mine without a second thought.

I want to make this a mildly offroad capable vehicle for my g/f to follow me in the tacoma and a back up DD for when I SAS my tacoma. I'd love to get a couple years out of it yet.

In that case I would definitely get the kit from synergy the parts are much beefier than oem replacements and would hold up to offroading better. Just make sure to keep em greased up as part of your regular maintenance.
