question about tire carrier

Default question about tire carrier

i have an 88 2 door that i want to put a spare tire carrier on it i know on a bronco 2 where they are mounted is reinforced is it the same way on a blazer i have the carrier and all the hardware am i gonna be able to mount it with out doing anything to the side of the blazer where it mounts to

You are going to have to drill a few holes where it mounts on the 4 door trucks, and weld a nut on the inside of the body for the carrier to bolt to. Lots of guys have done this mod.

I didn't weld any nuts, I used large washers and lock nuts on the bolts. Been on the truck for 2.5 years and haven't had any problems.
