radio goes on but
The stock radio is considered an electrostatic sensitive device. Perhaps some current pulse or static discharge got to it.
I had mine go out because of two nickles that had been bouncing around in there for years. I suspect the previous owner's kids or grandkids did it. LOL
I later found another nickle in the cassette player.

Vendo , first thing that comes to mind is protect mode. Not sure if it applies to this radio, but the first thing I'd try is pulling the radio fuse for about 5 minutes , then put it back in to see if it works.
