Wait till you go to put it back on LOL.
I still havent got mine back on,lining up the splines and fightingthe snap ring at the male end will be tough to get the female side back over.
Good luck.

Could someone elaborate or post a picture on the "spring clip" you are referring to? I just put my '98 Blazer back together and when I put the front drive shaft back in it was easy-peasy. There was no type of "spring-clip". Note: Some PO did work on the driveline and did a crappy job, so along with other missing parts, the spring-clip may be another one.

Is it possible for the spring clip to stay in the groove when you remove the driveshaft and I just didn't notice it? Can you tell me what the purpose of the clip is?

Looked on Alldata, and if I looking at the assembly instructions correctly, I can see the spring clip and groove clearly on a NVG136-NPR transfer case. But it appears (looking at the assembly instructions and diagrams) my transfer case, NVG233 doesn't have this spring clip. Does that sound right Diaita? I'd sure like to know what the purpose of the clip is anyway though, if you would be so kind as to enlighten me. I.E. if it's reataining something...what could it possible be retaining? Thanks much!
