no. not that i know of. it actually cut off on me saturday and when it did that the fuel pump started whinning really loud. it wouldnt start back up right away. i put a new fuel filter on it and it did great ths morning. ran dead cold like it was already warmed up, but this afternoon it was doing the same thing. its like its doesnt have enough power when i press the gas till it wrms up. i know i have an exhost leak because the guy i bought it from had a brand new oe exhost put on it. but he must have had a friend do it because they didnt weld the top of the pipe. hahaha, like that was gonna work. lol, but could that cause any problems with accelerating? i lmost to the point that im going to pay my uncle or the dealership to fix it. i dont really have the money but ive gotta do something. love my blazer and would love for it to run great and everything work. my keyless entry will sometime work and sometime not. any suggestions on that too. im thinking it needs a new reciever and a new key fob dunno how to fix keyless entry.

from what your telling me now seems like the fuel pump might be getting weak. i would rent a fuel pressure tester one that goes up too 60psi or above. it should read 55psi plus minus 5. the exhuast wouldnt have nothing to do with it. ive got mine straight piped. and as for the keyless entry, it could just be the tiny battery in the remote. but i would check the fuel pressure. the fuel pressure regulator is really common to leak on these. take the air breather off the engine open the throttle plate and take a wiff. does it smell like raw gas and a lot of it??

it sounds likeyour fuel spider has a leak or the lines inside the intake are leaking. pull off the intake plenum to see if theresany fuel. i had the same symtoms with my blazer and it was that all along. but it is not hard to replace, just have to take your time and take not on which port each ingector goes into. You canfind a 1992 to 1994 s10 or chevy astro with a 4.3 at a junkyard with the cpi. not sure when they started the cpi but im sure it ended in 1994 1/2 till they went to the secgen. justbe careful removing used cpi`s and grab a couple. hope this helps

I'm in your shoes but worse. Mine started bad fuel economy, changed everything, everything for 1 1/2 years, Every time I changed something something else would start happening, rough idol, surging to 40 then run like a top, yes when it got warm it would idol and run perfect. I got the mileage up on the highway but not in town. OK I had bought new injectors in which I thought 1 might be bad so I put my old ones back in and it wouldn't start so I put the new ones back in and still wouldn't start. Here I am with all the new parts everywhere and it won't start. I just bought a computer control and it still don't start, well I'm at a point of dynamite but have 400.00 in new parts and 2 years working and pulling all my hair out. Yes I took it to a mechanic back at first and could't help me but got 100.00 for trying. Seams it is the part that works after it gets warm whatever it is. LOL. I think it is my problem that part that starts working after warming up I had a list of all the parts I replaced but I lost it from computer crash.

so i took the air breather off and ...yeah it smell like raw gas bad. so it could be the fuel pressure regulator or the fuel injectors bad or leaking inside. either way im gonna have to go in. depending on the pressure read out will depend on wether i replace the injectors or the pressure regulator. may do both while im in there. i think i might have found a vacuum leak. theres a rotted looking 1.5 in. hose behind the distributor cap that looks like it needs to be replaced. i feel like im getting somewhere now though.

yes thats the video you want to go by on how to take it apart and install the new injectors. and if you want to check and see if its leaking gas inside, take that thing out he calles a flapper in the video and look inside with a flashlight. if theres alot of black all around it probally isnt leaking. but if you see parts of black inside that have been washed away clean by gas then its probally leaking. if you decide to replace the injectors make sure you change the oil afterwords. if gas has been leaking in there then its probally in the crakcase. and thats not good.

oh also with this 94 s10 blazer i have now. awhile back it started running really bad and backfireing and would die at a stop sign sometimes and had little power. so i went ahead and put the new injectors from my 93 that i saved into it. same problem. turned out it was weak spark from the coil. replaced the coil and ran fine since. ive got a vid on youtube of it running with weak spark hear it is

ok. i took the dampener (think thats what it is) off and had a look inside with a flash light. this is what i found.....pics below.on the left is a pic of the fuel pressure regulator and the rest of the inside. the right side pic is the dampener upside down showing the bottom part that is normally inside. if you put your brouser on the pictures and wit then they get larger and you can browse between the two. should the bottom of the dampener look like this? should the inside where the cpi and fuel pressure regulator look like this? im leaning towards no. lol! what you guys think?
