cant really tell. but it looks like you got a little leak below the fuel pressure regulator. not sure. i would do a pressure test first. you can always pull the top plenum off to get a better look inside. its fairly simple and the only gasket you would need is a top plenum gasket only like 10 bucks. but rent a fuel pressure tester and post the reading you get with key on only then with it running and then a leak down test with key on then off and see how long the pressure stays at 55 untill it starts to drop.

any autopart store that sells new car parts like autozone. there kinda pricey but you get all your money back. the test port is at the back driver side of the plenum near the brake booster line that goes into the plenum.

rough running problem solved!!!!!! i spent a whole $2 to do it! runs great now! i tested fuel pressure it held strong at 65 psi. thats more on the high eng but its still there and holding. had my uncle look at it at his shop he said it was skipping. he tested it to see what cyclender wasnt firring. it was the rear left cylender. we tested the spark plug wire on that cylender and it arked fine. i went and bought a $2 spark plug and put it in and......whoooooom! runs great! it'll even do a burn out now. thanks for all the help out there guys. and a special thanks to bam 999 and my unle TJ.

do you know the part number or technical name for the vortec cover on top of the plenum?

you talking about the vortec emblem cover piece? or the actual top part of the intake?

and to op.....Nice...how does it feel going through all this bs over a spark plug? its a win/lose in my opinion. the frustration sucked when all in all it was a stupid plug....Oh well. Cool you got it fixed. Now buy some tires since you wasted them on the burnout lol

ok. so i think my actuator maybe be bad. my air blows through defrost and floor but wont switch to vents in the dash. i cannot find heater-defrost door actuator online. its round but all i can find online images is a triangle electric on for the newer s10 models. mine runs off vacuum system. i dont know if its that actuator or the one above it (panel door actuator) if its an actuator at all. it could be the control mudule itself. the worst i can think of is that i have a vacuum leak in my lines and have to rip the dash out. can someone give some advise? and where can i find the heater-defrost actuator for my 1993 chevrolet s10 blazer LT tahoe. 4.3L and 4X4. thanks!

Mine hisses if i use any selection that closes the floor vents. Since it is getting cold here i just disconnected the vacuum to the system so it defaults to floor/defrost. I wanted it there anyway I would like to know how to get to these vacuum actuators as well casue i would like my crap working correctly.
