Default smog pump

While under the hood checking vacuum lines on my blazer I noticed the line to my smog pump is not hooked to anything and probably hasn't been for a long time. Can anyone tell me where it plugs in at and if there are any negative effects of having it unplugged? 1989 4.3 tbi.

the line controls a diverter valve on the pump. not being hooked keeps the pump from working. which will cause a little more pollution during the first few minutes after a cold start. not a huge deal. I suppose you could hook it to any vacuum source, but I really don't know

on newer Blazers the entire secondary air system seams to be prone to problems so I imagine there is more wrong with it, But I also don't know about the 89.

It's been running good and like I said it's probably been off for years.
