Default Speed limiter?

Is it possible to take the speed limiter off? I have a 1994 blazer right now and it tops out around 98 but i feel like it can go faster. Can anyone help me out? ive heard that the only way i can do it is if i buy a chip?

Why would you need to go faster?

any faster and your risking sudden death since trucks have such high center of gravity and are easy to tip over if any air gets caught under the car.

Yeah and dont forget the tires on the truck arent meant to be turning at 100 mph... When tires go over the speed rating they are prone to burst and cause a bad bad accident. Also the speed max speed limit is 110KMPH in canada and about 65-70 in the US... So 98 is still gonna get you a helluva ticket. Up here in canada they will yank your licence on the spot for getting caught doing 50kmph or 30mph over the limit, and you can ask the judge for it back at your court hearing... Speed kills my man.
