Welcome to the forum. You should post your question in the "First Generation" section of the forum. If you do you will get a much better responce. This section is for new members to introduce themselves. Once you have a chance to look around you will understand where to go for various answeres for problems you are having. This is a digital dash right? Anti-lock brake light on my Blazer which is the same year came on and the mechanic I was using at the time said the sending unit had gone out. He said it would cost about $1400 to fix it but the brakes would function just the same except the "anti-lock" would not work. So I said the heck with it and never fixed it so I basically have regular brakes rather than anti-lock brakes and just got used to the light being on. I figured that damn light would have burned out by now, that was years ago, but it just keep going and going and going. Not saying that's you problem though.

What kind of antilocks do you have? 4WAL or just the back? Sounds like your wheel speed sensor got messed up when you hit the pothole.
As for your speedometer, have you checked the wiring to the speed sensor at the tranny (or transfer case)? What type vehicle do you have? A little more info would help.

I think that would probably be the RWAL brakes. Does it have a little rectangular box on the brake cylinder bracket?

The '91 Blazer has Rear Wheel Anti-Lock brake system. The front brakes are not anti-lock. I would take it to your favorite mechanic to get his professional opion. If the sending unit is bad I wouldn't worry to much about it. Those anti-lock brake systems were brand new technology back in the day and didn't really work all that well and had lots of problems, from what I've heard any way. The instrument cluster in that truck is now almost 20 years old and I'm having some issues with mine as well. You can buy refurbished ones from a guy on this forum, just look for the threads on digital dashes. X2 on checking the wiring / speedometer cable first though, sounds like you hit that pothole pretty hard.

I had a 91 ext cab 2 wheel drive and had that antilock system in it. I guess I was lucky beciase it never gave me any problems and saved my *** on more than one occasion.
Here is the guy I got my digital speedometer from. Lots of good information here too about how to take it out and put it back. Guy's name is Carl. Pretty cool dude.

your ABS light is on because the ABS unit isn't seeing any speed signal from the sensor, look underneath and make sure the connector on the side of the case hasn't fallen off.
