Default Stumped

My 92 s-10 Blazer will start, idles Ok, but will not accelerate. Any additional push on the gas pedal makes the engine buck and cough and hesitate/stumble. I've replaced almost all of the electrical side and I've got good spark. When I put a gauge on the fuel pressure port and turn the switch to on, the pressure goes straight up to 60 psi and then drops almost immediately to 20 psi. It sounds like a leak somewhere (fuel pressure regulator?). Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

have u checked ur spark plugs? i would start there cuz if the regulator is bad u will notice one bank is fueled out and that would be the side it is leaking.

Definitely sounds like you have a FPR leak. I would remove the cover on the top of the engine, then remove the MTV (manifold tuning valve) and have a look down inside of the intake. If you see puddles of fuel, you have found your leak. Follow the replacement How-To in the DIY section.

Thanks, guys, I'll give it a look this weekend. I did try a new fuel filter at the suggestion of a friend at work (what a job that was, rusted fittings and one was cross threaded by the last person that changed the filter) but it didn't seem to help. At least I know that it isn't the problem.

Thanks again.
