Default Thinking of buying a blazer 4x4!

Hi,

I really wanted to get an 86-90 or so Blazer/GMC Jimmy 4x4 with a manual transmission. I thought I'd post on this forum to see of any general advice when buying one of these vehicles, how reliable they are, pitfalls to watch out for etc.
Also, what year did they start making them EFI? ANy rust issues on certain years etc? Any info would be appreciated, thanks

The only advise I would give is to get a 4.3L rather than a 2.8L as I've always felt that the 2.8L was under powered.
