Unattached Hoses
I have a 92 blazer 4.3 vortec and the hose on driver side valve cover is not hooked up to anything what is this? The passengerside hose is hooked over the intake. And the blazer will turn over but won't crank. I'm try n to eliminate problems but do not see anything for this hose to be hooked to and it has a rubber on the end of hose big enough for my ringer and looks as it was on something.need help please. The truck has been sitting and was driveable before it sat

The hose in question is a fresh air intake for the PVC system - it should run to the air box or in that location and has nothing to do with a no start.
Also Crank means turn over , terms as start, run, fire, ect should be used .....

If it cranks / turns over then most likely you either have no fuel, or no spark. Do you hear the fuel pump run when you turn the key to the "On" position, before you engage the starter? Even if you do, there is a rubber line that connects the fuel pump to the sending unit in the tank could have rotted out. Happened on my 88 C1500 after sitting for years. If you can't hear the fuel pump, it's probably shot.
Either way if you can hear the pump then check to make sure you have spark first. If there is spark, you should have an upward facing Schrader valve on the back driver side corner of the intake. You can check there to see if fuel is making it to the engine.
