Did you put the poppets in properly when you put it all back together?

Having that much gas in your oil pan/ oil is not good. I would not try to turn it over until you check the poppets, and before you try to run it, change your oil and filter, and once it runs, I personally would change the oil again.

Sounds like the typical CPI leak. Nut kit probably... Good thing we have a plethora of info here on this problem. Search...

in 89 gm never put the cpi version in until 92. so its throttle body injected. the only thing that would cause pooling of fuel of that quantity and plugs as dry as can be is either leaving rags by accident in the intake ports in the heads or not putting the push rods back in. but that would of been obvious. dont ya think. ??
