Default vibration when stopped

I just bought a 89 blazer 4.3 4x4. Its the first blazer ive ever had. Has bad vibration and i cant figure out what it is. When driving it drives fine and smooth but coming to a stop at a redlight or just stopping it starts vibrating, and if i turn the wheel left or right when stopped the vibration gets significantly worse. Please help me figure out what this is so i can get it fixed and not mess anything up! Thanks

Sound to me like a misfire at idle. The easiest way to find the dead cylinder is to -- when the engine is cold & just started up -- briefly touch the manifold right at the head. You'll feel the good cylinders warm up pretty quick.

If you find a dead cylinder, check the easy stuff first: plugs, wires, cap & rotor.

I would have never guessed that. Appreciate the help. Ill try replacing the plugs and wires and see if that helps at all.

That's pertinent.. low rpm miss under load.

Just changes the params not necessarily the problem. In fact it still may be missing while in park.. not as noticable if it's not under load.

Does it vibe when you first start off?

I see. But no, as soon as you let off the brake and start moving again the vibration stops. And also went to the store this morning and it wasnt vibrating as bad the first time i stopped then i barely turned the wheel and it started again

Change the plugs, cap & rotor and the problem will most likely go away.

I had a vibration in just drive and reverse at a stop. Turned out to be a WORN out engine mount. Replaced it,vibration minimized greatly..

Yea i know...wtf

Open the hood, have friend watch engine. put it in drive and pop on the gas and see if the engine lifts up in a excessive amount. do it in drive and reverse.
