Default Water Pump Tube

There's a tube sticking out of my new water pump that has no hose on it. If you stand in front of the truck facing it and look down it is coming off the right side. It was like that when I bought the truck last month. Is there a hose missing? Or is this a water pump that could fit many different models and on mine it just doesn't need anything there?

Could it be for the heater hose?Is it caped off? I would imagine that water should be shooting out of it if it isnt. My edlebrock water pump has a port that is not used on my vehical. I just put a pipe plug in it.

I know what you are talking about, and im not sure if that is even a hose. It looks like one, but ive checked it out and couldnt find an opening. It may be just clogged up on mine but i dont think its too important.
