Default What is this?

1991 S10 Blazer 2WD

hey folks...i couldn't search this as I have no idea what it is...this is a connector that seems to have nothing to connect to.

For reference #1 is the ground on the firewall, next to HVAC etc, #2 is the connector...

Is this just for something my model doesn't have?

Thanks in advance

I believe that provides power to the under hood light and the blower fan at high speed.

its more/less a power block. i have a few things hooked to mine. its just a shortcut instead of running wires all the way to the battery. very handy to have. the late 80s early 90s chevys have the same thing with i believe 5 post
