What is This Blue Wire For?

First, thanks for all the advice on fixing up my 93 S10 Blazer 4x4 Vin W. After replacing the fuel regulator and nut kit (with rounded Torx head retaining screw), I noticed a loose blue wire coming through the driver side firewall by itself and not connected. It looks like it was broken off of something. Now, my truck runs great, but I am concerned about this wire. Any ideas?

looks like the kind of wire that goes to a set of fogs or traillights. Where does it go INSIDE the ride? Do you have a toggle that does nothing?
Have you poked here with a volt meter to see what it has to say?

No, I don't have any additional lights or a switch of any kind that does not have a purpose or does not work. No voltage from the wire whether the truck is on of off--or the lights/turn signals are on or off. I have not tried to look up under the dash yet (old age
--me and the truck), but maybe I will.
If no one else seems to have a similar wire, it may not be worth worrying about. When I looked at the wiring diagram I saw a solid blue wire going to the knock sensors, but this is not even in a wiring harness.

It could have been a wire form a cb or some other electronic thing that was in the truck.

Thanks for everyone's thoughts. The message I'm hearing is that the wire is likely after market and not vital to operation of my truck.
