Not too much better...Where exactly is it? Details is everything. wires plugged into it? color, whats it hooked too etc

Edit, almost looks like the coolant temp sensor. is it on the passenger side, screwed into the block of the engine? Only thing that puzzles me is i see no wire, and where the black round part is it looks like its resting against the bottom part. I doubt its the coolant temp sensor.

i'm gonna go out on a limb on this one... your temp guage doesn't work anymore? if so it's your sensor thats either leaking because its bad or somehow melting against the manifold?

Im wondering if its leaking coolant on the exhaust manifold and causing it to smoke,Or leaking just enough on the block and the waters evaporating off the block. Coolant level low?

Try taking some partially zoomed in pictures. So we can get a better perspective. Closer isn't always better.

Sorry but my camera really really sucks and yes that was the part I was talking about the shiny one with the bright gold also I am missing the wire for it so that would be the coolant temperature sensor and sender correct? I have looked in my Hanes Repair Manual and I can find out how to get the sensor off and install the new one but the sender I can't find anything on where it plugs into after it comes from the sensor so I would install a new sensor plug the sender into the sensor but from there where does it go? Thank you all for your help and sorry I am such a PITA lol

that wire should be somewhere around there. you have 2 temp sensors. that one you see,and one beside the top radiator hose. the one beside the hose tells the computer if the engines hot or cold, and adjusts cold start fuel/air mix ratios. the one you see now is only for the temp gauge. you simple put a wrench on the brass part of it,unscrew it,and screw in the new one. When you take the old one out a good bit of coolant will dump out. so have a extra gallon of it sitting around.
