I have looked everywhere for that wire and I swear it isn't there so your saying that I need to replace the one where the coolant will come out right? but I also have to find that wire too? I am confused what part do I need to fix the problem?

So I need to replace the one where the coolant will come out of? the coolant temp sensor? also I need to find the wire that plugs into that and find out where it plugs into? I am sorry but I'm confused.

 

is the one in the picture leaking ? and the wire has to be around there somewhere

 

the one that is in the picture...thats "smoking". Needs to be replaced...maybe....start the truck up and drive it around for about 15 min. then pop the hood and get us a good picture of the sensor. It may be leaking causing the "smoke" (which is just evap from the fluids). just replace that one if its leaking...

Just remember you have 2 coolant sensors. one beside the top radiator hose,which you dont need to touch,and one on the side of them engine....which is in your picture..


Tomorrow i will go out and look at my wiring and see where that wire runs into the rest of the wiring

 

if i remember right the wire runs to the top of the motor let me try to do some research to back up that answer


oh yours is an 89 hold up =P i was looking on the vortec motor

The wire that goes to the sensor runs straight up above it into the big wire harness where the red line ends.

about the wire,see if they stuffed it up at the main wire harness. its gotta be there somewhere. if they cut it.....you in trouble.

 

wow my blazer is ****ed up lol there are wires coming out of all different kinds of places and I don't know what goes to what I will see if I can get an overall picture of what I am working with tomorrow.
